Call for participants ages 3-18 to help understand behaviours of concern.


Looking for children ages 3-18 with a neurodevelopmental disorder and fatigue and their sibling to help us understand behaviours of concern.


WHAT IS A NEURODEVELOPMENTAL DISORDER?

Neurodevelopmental disorders, also called NDDs, are conditions that impact a person’s developing brain.

Examples of NDDs are intellectual disability, autism, and ADHD. 


WHAT ARE BEHAVIOURS OF CONCERN

Behaviours of concern are behaviours that threaten the wellbeing and safety of the youth or those around them. 

Examples of behaviours of concern are self-injury or aggression towards others.


WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Youth ages 3-18 years with a neurodevelopmental disorder(NDD), fatigue, and behaviours of concern AND their sibling(who does not have an NDD)

Must be able to attend study visits at the Alberta Children’sHospital in Calgary 


WHAT WOULD I HAVE TO DO?

This will involve an interview with our research team and filling out some forms 

Provide information about health, sleep, and behaviour, for your child, and their sibling.


WHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT?

Total of 15-20 hours over a 6 month period

Three study visits at the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary

Compensation will be offered for your time and essential contribution ($50 per study visit per child;$150 total per child, $300 for each sibling pair)
